The S55 ran conservative boost and fuelling from the factory, and it has serious appetite once that's freed up. A custom tune sharpens throttle, holds boost longer and wakes the car up across the range — Stage 1 alone makes the F80/F82 feel like the M car it always promised to be.

Where the big gains live: E85

The S55 absolutely loves ethanol. With a flex-fuel setup and a dedicated E85 map, the gains are substantial and that's where Samuel's custom calibration earns its keep — fuelling and timing on ethanol need to be matched to your exact car, which no off-the-shelf file can do safely.

Hardware path

Stage 1 is software only. Stage 2 wants a downpipe and benefits from an upgraded charge pipe and intake. E85 flex is the headline upgrade. Bigger builds move to upgraded turbos with a fully bespoke map around the hardware.
