The N20 is a capable little four-pot that responds well to a clean software calibration. On bootmod3 it picks up meaningful mid-range torque and a sharper throttle, the gains you actually feel in everyday driving rather than headline figures.

Do I need a separate licence for my engine?

A bootmod3 licence is tied to your vehicle, not the engine family in general. Once licensed you can flash the maps available for that car. We can walk you through licensing and the adapter you need on the bootmod3 licence and adapters pages.
