About this tune
The F80 M3 (2014-2018) is the first turbocharged M3, the saloon-only body with the S55 twin-scroll twin-turbo straight-six underneath. Stock is 425 bhp / 550 Nm, sent rear-wheel through either the 7-speed M-DCT or a 6-speed manual (RWD only, no xDrive option in the F-platform). The F80 is the analogue 3-Series M, pure mechanical chassis, no electric assistance, no torque vectoring beyond the limited-slip diff, and its S55 underneath responds exceptionally well to a remap.

The BMW M3 (F80) (F80, 2014–2018) runs the S55 and leaves the factory at 425 bhp · 550 Nm, Rear-wheel drive, 7-speed DCT or 6-speed manual. Samuel tunes the F80 Saloon to the same standard — every map hand-calibrated for the specific car, its fuel grade and its installed hardware, not a base file loaded and left. M3 (F80) Stage 1 alone takes it from 425 bhp · 550 Nm to 520 bhp · 700 Nm on the standard turbo, flashed over OBD on BM3, MHD or MG Flasher.
Add the Stage 2 hardware and the M3 (F80) targets 560 bhp · 750 Nm; from there the S55 stretches to around 1200 bhp on a hybrid or big-turbo build with supporting fuelling. Whichever stage suits the M3 (F80), the file is delivered within 24 hours and is fully reversible to the supplied stock calibration.

The F80 M3 (2014-2018) is the first turbocharged M3, the analogue 3-Series M body with the S55 twin-scroll twin-turbo straight-six underneath, shared with the F82 / F83 M4 and F87 M2 Competition. From the factory, BMW set the F80 M3 at 425 bhp / 550 Nm; the hardware ceiling sits considerably higher. BMW M3 F80 tuning with Samuel applies a calibration matched to the F80 saloon's chassis behaviour and either the 7-speed M-DCT or 6-speed manual. The F80 M3 was deliberately under-calibrated at launch, and remains one of the most rewarding S55 chassis to remap because of it.

No hardware required. The MEVD17 DME is flashed via the OBD port, boost, ignition timing, fuel delivery and torque limiters all revised. BMW M3 F80 Stage 1 unlocks 520 bhp and 700 Nm from the OEM hardware (up from 425 / 550 stock). The BMW M3 F80 chip tuning starting point and by far the most popular single modification on the platform, the most cost-effective change you can make.
Every M3 F80 tune Samuel produces is calibrated individually for the specific car, fuel grade and installed hardware, not a base map loaded and left. M3 (F80) Stage 1 lifts the S55 from a stock 425 bhp · 550 Nm to 520 bhp · 700 Nm, with no hardware required. The map is flashed through the OBD port on BM3, MHD or MG Flasher and is the starting point for almost every M3 (F80) owner — broader torque and sharper throttle response from the factory hardware.
This page covers the F80 Saloon (F80). They share the S55 engine and run the same core calibration, but every M3 (F80) tune Samuel delivers is tailored to your exact car, fuel grade and installed hardware — never a base map loaded and left.
Stage 2 on the M3 (F80) targets 560 bhp · 750 Nm and needs downpipes + midpipe + intakes. Everything else — turbo, fuel system, intercooler — holds within the Stage 2 figures on the S55.
On the right hardware spec the S55 in the M3 (F80) reaches around 1200 bhp. Stage 1 and Stage 2 run the standard turbo; beyond that needs a hybrid or full big-turbo conversion with supporting fuelling, and the calibration is built bespoke per car.
Remotely. Once Samuel has your build details, the calibrated M3 (F80) map is delivered to your flashing tool account (BM3, MHD or MG Flasher) within 24 hours and you flash it yourself over OBD in about 15 minutes. It's fully reversible — the original S55 stock file is supplied before you flash, so the car can return to factory at any time.
A factory warranty can be voided if BMW shows a tune caused a specific failure, so it's a personal call. Samuel's M3 (F80) maps are calibrated to stay within the mechanical limits of the S55 hardware, and because the tune is reversible to stock before any dealer visit, many owners run a tuned M3 (F80) without issue.
