About this tune
The F82 / F83 M4 (2014-2020) is the coupe and convertible companion to the F80 M3, same S55 twin-scroll twin-turbo straight-six, same MEVD17 DME, same 7-speed M-DCT or 6-speed manual. Stock is 425 bhp / 550 Nm. Available as the F82 coupe and the F83 convertible, RWD only. The F82 M4 was the defining BMW M coupe of its generation, and the tuning aftermarket for it is one of the most mature on any modern BMW.

Stage 1 targets 520 bhp / 700 Nm from OEM hardware; Stage 2 adds downpipes, midpipe and intakes for 560 bhp / 750 Nm. Add Flex Fuel at Stage 2 for up to 600 bhp on E40 blends. Every file hand-calibrated for the specific car and gearbox variant — not a base map applied to the F82 family.
The F82 M4 (2014–2020) was the defining BMW M coupe of its generation — available as the F82 coupe and the F83 convertible, rear-wheel drive only, with the 7-speed M-DCT or 6-speed manual. The tuning aftermarket for the F82 / F83 is one of the most mature on any modern BMW: BM3, MHD and MG Flasher all have full, well-documented S55 support. Samuel calibrates both body variants and both gearbox configurations to the same standard; xHP gearbox calibration is available as an add-on for M-DCT cars, strongly recommended at Stage 2 and above.

What the M4 (F82) map revision covers: S55 stages explained
The F82 coupe and F83 convertible differ in chassis stiffness and weight distribution — the convertible is heavier, the coupe is stiffer. Samuel's calibration for both accounts for the chassis behaviour, the gearbox setup and UK fuel quality. Stage 1 targets 520 bhp / 700 Nm from OEM hardware — the single biggest performance change available on the F82 / F83 without touching exhaust hardware. Stage 2 adds downpipes, midpipe and intakes for 560 bhp / 750 Nm. Add Flex Fuel at Stage 2 for up to 600 bhp on E40 blends. Every map is log-reviewed after the first flash before sign-off.

No hardware required. The MEVD17 DME is flashed via the OBD port. BMW M4 F82 Stage 1 unlocks 520 bhp and 700 Nm from the OEM hardware (up from 425 / 550 stock). The BMW M4 F82 chip tuning starting point, and the single biggest performance step you can take on an F82 without touching exhaust hardware.

Stage 2 on the F82/F83 M4 targets 560 bhp / 750 Nm and needs downpipes + midpipe + intakes. The stock S55 turbos hold within the Stage 2 figures with the expanded airflow from those three items; beyond that moves to Stage 3 territory.
The S55 in the F82/F83 M4 reaches around 1200 bhp on the right hardware spec. Stage 1 and Stage 2 run the stock turbos; beyond that needs a hybrid or full big-turbo conversion with supporting fuelling, built bespoke per car.
Yes — xHP gearbox calibration is available as an add-on for M-DCT cars (7-speed Getrag GS7D36BG). It delivers firmer, faster shifts, raised torque limits and launch control logic matched to the ECU map. Strongly recommended at Stage 2 and above. Manual-gearbox M4 F82 cars do not require it.
