BM3, MHD and MG Flasher all support the JCW Convertible's MEVD17 / MG1CS003 DME fully through Stage 1 and Stage 2 — the platform choice is about your preferred flashing tool, not the calibration. Samuel delivers the same hand-built map on all three. 228–231 bhp · 320 Nm from the factory; 270–290 bhp · 380–420 Nm at Stage 1 with no hardware changes; 290–310 bhp · 440–470 Nm at Stage 2 with intercooler, decat/sports cat, and intake. The B48 / B46 (US) has the headroom to go considerably further on a hybrid or big-turbo build — 99 RON strongly recommended on any aggressive map.

The F57 JCW Convertible (2016–2024) runs the B48 / B46 (US) at a higher factory output than the Cooper S, with internals that carry Stage 2 figures without issue. MINI sets the JCW Convertible at 228–231 bhp · 320 Nm from the factory — a stronger starting point than the Cooper S, but the B48 / B46 (US) underneath is the same hardware that supports 400 bhp on a big-turbo build. The difference between factory output and Stage 1 is software only. Stage 1 moves the JCW Convertible from 228–231 bhp · 320 Nm to 270–290 bhp · 380–420 Nm using the OEM turbo with no hardware required. Stage 2 pushes it to 290–310 bhp · 440–470 Nm once intercooler, decat/sports cat, and intake are in place — the standard turbo and fuel system hold within those figures comfortably.

Stage 1 lifts the B48 / B46 (US) from a stock 228–231 bhp · 320 Nm to 270–290 bhp · 380–420 Nm — no hardware required, OBD flash only on BM3, MHD, or MG Flasher. The gains are broader torque from low rpm and sharper throttle response from the factory hardware. It's where almost every JCW Convertible build starts.

The F57 JCW Convertible runs the 8-speed ZF automatic, and xHP calibration is strongly recommended at Stage 2 where torque climbs to 440–470 Nm — it handles the extra gearbox load cleanly. At Stage 1 it's optional but noticeable. Manual-gearbox variants don't need it.
