The BMW X6 M (F16) (F16, 2014–2019) runs the S63 4.4L twin-turbo V8 and leaves the factory at 567 bhp · 750 Nm, M xDrive, 8-speed ZF automatic. Samuel tunes the F16 Coupe SUV to the same standard — every map hand-calibrated for the specific car, its fuel grade and its installed hardware, not a base file loaded and left. X6M (F16) Stage 1 alone takes it from 567 bhp · 750 Nm to 650 bhp · 850 Nm on the standard turbo, flashed over OBD on BM3, MHD or MG Flasher.
Add the Stage 2 hardware and the X6M (F16) targets 720 bhp · 900 Nm; from there the S63 stretches to around 1000 bhp on a hybrid or big-turbo build with supporting fuelling. Whichever stage suits the X6M (F16), the file is delivered within 24 hours and is fully reversible to the supplied stock calibration.

BMW X6 M tuning, stages, hardware and what to expect from the F16 S63
The F86 X6 M (chassis code F16) is the coupe-SUV variant of the F15 X5 M, same first-generation S63 V8, same MEVD17.2.G DME, same 567 bhp / 750 Nm factory calibration. BMW X6 M tuning with Samuel uses the same map ethos as the F15 X5 M; only the exhaust geometry of the X6 M coupe rear differs slightly. The F16 X6 M is one of the most theatrical S63 chassis to tune, the lower roofline and slightly tighter rear-end change the acoustic character noticeably once the downpipes are in place.

No hardware required. The MEVD17.2.G DME is flashed via the OBD port, boost pressure, ignition timing, fuel delivery and torque limiters all revised. BMW X6 M Stage 1 unlocks 650 bhp / 850 Nm from the OEM hardware (up from 567 / 750 stock).
Every X6 M tune Samuel produces is calibrated individually for the specific car, fuel grade and installed hardware, not a base map loaded and left. BMW X6 M tuning done correctly accounts for the F16 chassis weight, the M-DCT gearbox calibration, the xDrive transfer and UK fuel quality; the map is reviewed against your data logs after the first flash and revised before sign-off.

The map is flashed through the OBD port on BM3, MHD or MG Flasher and is the starting point for almost every X6M (F16) owner — broader torque and sharper throttle response from the factory hardware.

Stage 2 on the X6M (F16) targets 720 bhp · 900 Nm and needs downpipes + intakes. Everything else — turbo, fuel system, intercooler — holds within the Stage 2 figures on the S63.
On the right hardware spec the S63 in the X6M (F16) reaches around 1000 bhp. Stage 1 and Stage 2 run the standard turbo; beyond that needs a hybrid or full big-turbo conversion with supporting fuelling, and the calibration is built bespoke per car.
Yes — later X6M (F16) (F16) cars ship with a locked DME that must be unlocked once before any map can be written. It's a one-time step; after that the X6M (F16) flashes normally over OBD and the tune is fully reversible to the supplied stock file.
Remotely. Once Samuel has your build details, the calibrated X6M (F16) map is delivered to your flashing tool account (BM3, MHD or MG Flasher) within 24 hours and you flash it yourself over OBD in about 15 minutes. It's fully reversible — the original S63 stock file is supplied before you flash, so the car can return to factory at any time.
A factory warranty can be voided if BMW shows a tune caused a specific failure, so it's a personal call. Samuel's X6M (F16) maps are calibrated to stay within the mechanical limits of the S63 hardware, and because the tune is reversible to stock before any dealer visit, many owners run a tuned X6M (F16) without issue.
