BMW M6 (F06 / F12 / F13) tuning
The BMW M6 (F06 / F12 / F13) (F06 / F12 / F13, 2011–2018) runs the S63 4.4L twin-turbo V8 and leaves the factory at 552 bhp · 680 Nm, RWD, 7-speed DCT. Samuel tunes the F12 Coupe, F13 Convertible and F06 Gran Coupe to the same standard — every map hand-calibrated for the specific car, its fuel grade and its installed hardware, not a base file loaded and left. M6 (F1x) Stage 1 alone takes it from 552 bhp · 680 Nm to 650 bhp · 850 Nm on the standard turbo, flashed over OBD on BM3, MHD or MG Flasher.
Add the Stage 2 hardware and the M6 (F1x) targets 720 bhp · 900 Nm; from there the S63 stretches to around 1000 bhp on a hybrid or big-turbo build with supporting fuelling. Whichever stage suits the M6 (F1x), the file is delivered within 24 hours and is fully reversible to the supplied stock calibration.

BMW M6 F1x tuning, stages, hardware and what to expect from the S63 V8
The F12 / F13 / F06 M6 runs the same first-generation S63 V8 as the F10 M5, 4.4-litre twin-turbo, twin-scroll, direct injection. From the factory, BMW M calibrated the M6 at 552 bhp / 680 Nm (Competition 567 / 680). BMW M6 F1x tuning with Samuel exploits the same OEM headroom the F10 M5 carries, the engine and DME are identical between the platforms. BMW M6 Coupe tuning, M6 Convertible tuning and M6 Gran Coupe tuning all use the same map.
Stage 1
650 bhp · 850 Nm
No hardware required. The MEVD17.2.G DME is flashed via the OBD port, boost, ignition timing, fuel delivery and torque limiters all revised. BMW M6 F1x Stage 1 unlocks 650 bhp / 850 Nm from the OEM hardware (up from 552-567 / 680 stock). The single most cost-effective change available on the F1x M6 platform.
Every M6 F1x tune Samuel produces is calibrated individually for the specific car, fuel grade and installed hardware, not a base map loaded and left. BMW M6 F1x tuning done correctly accounts for the body variant (Coupe / Convertible / Gran Coupe), the M-DCT gearbox calibration and UK fuel quality; the map is reviewed against your data logs after the first flash and revised before sign-off.

FAQ
M6 (F1x) tuning — frequently asked questions
M6 (F1x) Stage 1 lifts the S63 from a stock 552 bhp · 680 Nm to 650 bhp · 850 Nm, with no hardware required. The map is flashed through the OBD port on BM3, MHD or MG Flasher and is the starting point for almost every M6 (F1x) owner — broader torque and sharper throttle response from the factory hardware.
This page covers the F12 Coupe, F13 Convertible and F06 Gran Coupe (F06 / F12 / F13). They share the S63 4.4L twin-turbo V8 and run the same core calibration, but every M6 (F1x) tune Samuel delivers is tailored to your exact car, fuel grade and installed hardware — never a base map loaded and left.
Stage 2 on the M6 (F1x) targets 720 bhp · 900 Nm and needs downpipes + intakes. Everything else — turbo, fuel system, intercooler — holds within the Stage 2 figures on the S63.
On the right hardware spec the S63 in the M6 (F1x) reaches around 1000 bhp. Stage 1 and Stage 2 run the standard turbo; beyond that needs a hybrid or full big-turbo conversion with supporting fuelling, and the calibration is built bespoke per car.
Yes — later M6 (F1x) (F06 / F12 / F13) cars ship with a locked DME that must be unlocked once before any map can be written. It's a one-time step; after that the M6 (F1x) flashes normally over OBD and the tune is fully reversible to the supplied stock file.
Remotely. Once Samuel has your build details, the calibrated M6 (F1x) map is delivered to your flashing tool account (BM3, MHD or MG Flasher) within 24 hours and you flash it yourself over OBD in about 15 minutes. It's fully reversible — the original S63 stock file is supplied before you flash, so the car can return to factory at any time.
A factory warranty can be voided if BMW shows a tune caused a specific failure, so it's a personal call. Samuel's M6 (F1x) maps are calibrated to stay within the mechanical limits of the S63 hardware, and because the tune is reversible to stock before any dealer visit, many owners run a tuned M6 (F1x) without issue.
