The BMW X5 M (F15) (F15, 2013–2018) runs the S63 4.4L twin-turbo V8 and leaves the factory at 567 bhp · 750 Nm, M xDrive, 8-speed ZF automatic. Samuel tunes the F15 SUV to the same standard — every map hand-calibrated for the specific car, its fuel grade and its installed hardware, not a base file loaded and left. X5M (F15) Stage 1 alone takes it from 567 bhp · 750 Nm to 650 bhp · 850 Nm on the standard turbo, flashed over OBD on BM3, MHD or MG Flasher.

BMW X5 M tuning, stages, hardware and what to expect from the F15 S63
The F85 X5 M (chassis code F15) runs the first-generation S63, same 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 as the F10 M5 and F1x M6. From the factory, BMW calibrated the F15 X5 M at 567 bhp / 750 Nm. BMW X5 M tuning with Samuel exploits the same OEM headroom the M5/M6 carry, the engine and DME are shared between platforms, only the gearbox calibration and AWD transfer differ. The F15 X5 M is one of the most-tuned performance SUVs of its era because the platform responds exceptionally well to an ECU remap.

No hardware required. The MEVD17.2.G DME is flashed via the OBD port, boost pressure, ignition timing, fuel delivery and torque limiters all revised. BMW X5 M Stage 1 unlocks 650 bhp / 850 Nm from the OEM hardware (up from 567 / 750 stock). Substantially broader mid-range torque on a chassis that already delivers serious acceleration.
Every X5 M tune Samuel produces is calibrated individually for the specific car, fuel grade and installed hardware, not a base map loaded and left. BMW X5 M tuning done correctly accounts for the F15 chassis weight, the M-DCT gearbox calibration, the xDrive transfer and UK fuel quality; the map is reviewed against your data logs after the first flash and revised before sign-off.

The map is flashed through the OBD port on BM3, MHD or MG Flasher and is the starting point for almost every X5M (F15) owner — broader torque and sharper throttle response from the factory hardware.

Yes — later X5M (F15) (F15) cars ship with a locked DME that must be unlocked once before any map can be written. It's a one-time step; after that the X5M (F15) flashes normally over OBD and the tune is fully reversible to the supplied stock file.
Remotely. Once Samuel has your build details, the calibrated X5M (F15) map is delivered to your flashing tool account (BM3, MHD or MG Flasher) within 24 hours and you flash it yourself over OBD in about 15 minutes. It's fully reversible — the original S63 stock file is supplied before you flash, so the car can return to factory at any time.
A factory warranty can be voided if BMW shows a tune caused a specific failure, so it's a personal call. Samuel's X5M (F15) maps are calibrated to stay within the mechanical limits of the S63 hardware, and because the tune is reversible to stock before any dealer visit, many owners run a tuned X5M (F15) without issue.
