The BMW M8 (F91 / F92 / F93) (F91 / F92 / F93, 2019–present) runs the S63 4.4L twin-turbo V8 and leaves the factory at 617 bhp · 750 Nm (Competition), M xDrive, 8-speed M Steptronic. Samuel tunes the F92 Coupe, F91 Convertible and F93 Gran Coupe to the same standard — every map hand-calibrated for the specific car, its fuel grade and its installed hardware, not a base file loaded and left. M8 (F92) Stage 1 alone takes it from 617 bhp · 750 Nm (Competition) to 680 bhp · 850 Nm on the standard turbo, flashed over OBD on BM3, MHD or MG Flasher.
Add the Stage 2 hardware and the M8 (F92) targets 750 bhp · 900 Nm; from there the S63 stretches to around 1000 bhp on a hybrid or big-turbo build with supporting fuelling. Whichever stage suits the M8 (F92), the file is delivered within 24 hours and is fully reversible to the supplied stock calibration.

BMW M8 (F92) tuning, stages, hardware and what to expect from the second-gen S63
The F91 / F92 / F93 M8 runs the second-generation S63, same revised 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 as the F90 M5, with the full Competition spec from the factory. Stock figures: 617 bhp / 750 Nm. BMW M8 F92 tuning with Samuel takes the M8 into the same Stage 1 / Stage 2 territory as the F90 M5 with which it shares its engine, DME and gearbox. BMW M8 Coupe tuning (F92), M8 Convertible tuning (F91) and M8 Gran Coupe tuning (F93) all use the same map.

No hardware required. The MG1CS003 DME is flashed via the OBD port, boost pressure, ignition timing, fuel delivery and torque limiters all revised. BMW M8 F92 Stage 1 unlocks 680 bhp / 850 Nm from the OEM hardware (up from 617 / 750 stock). The single most cost-effective change available on the F92 M8, and the BMW M8 chip tuning starting point for nearly every owner.
Every M8 tune Samuel produces is calibrated individually for the specific car, fuel grade and installed hardware, not a base map loaded and left. BMW M8 tuning done correctly accounts for the F91/F92/F93 chassis behaviour, the 8HP gearbox calibration and UK fuel quality; the map is reviewed against your data logs after the first flash and revised before sign-off.

M8 (F92) Stage 1 lifts the S63 from a stock 617 bhp · 750 Nm (Competition) to 680 bhp · 850 Nm, with no hardware required. The map is flashed through the OBD port on BM3, MHD or MG Flasher and is the starting point for almost every M8 (F92) owner — broader torque and sharper throttle response from the factory hardware.

On the right hardware spec the S63 in the M8 (F92) reaches around 1000 bhp. Stage 1 and Stage 2 run the standard turbo; beyond that needs a hybrid or full big-turbo conversion with supporting fuelling, and the calibration is built bespoke per car.
Yes — later M8 (F92) (F91 / F92 / F93) cars ship with a locked DME that must be unlocked once before any map can be written. It's a one-time step; after that the M8 (F92) flashes normally over OBD and the tune is fully reversible to the supplied stock file.
Remotely. Once Samuel has your build details, the calibrated M8 (F92) map is delivered to your flashing tool account (BM3, MHD or MG Flasher) within 24 hours and you flash it yourself over OBD in about 15 minutes. It's fully reversible — the original S63 stock file is supplied before you flash, so the car can return to factory at any time.
A factory warranty can be voided if BMW shows a tune caused a specific failure, so it's a personal call. Samuel's M8 (F92) maps are calibrated to stay within the mechanical limits of the S63 hardware, and because the tune is reversible to stock before any dealer visit, many owners run a tuned M8 (F92) without issue.
