BMW 430i tuning
The BMW 430i (G22 / G23 / G26, 2020–present) leaves the factory at 255 bhp · 420 Nm. Stage 1 moves that to 310 bhp · 520 Nm without touching any hardware — Samuel maps the MG1CS003 / MEVD17 DME via OBD on BM3, MHD or MG Flasher, every file calibrated to the specific car and its fuel grade. Stage 2 targets 340 bhp · 550 Nm with a downpipe and intake; from there the B48 scales to around 500 bhp on a hybrid or big-turbo build.
The 430i runs a higher-output variant of the B48 — the same block that powers the 420i, tuned to 255 bhp · 420 Nm from the factory on different software. G22 Coupe, G23 Convertible and G26 Gran Coupe share the same core calibration; the build sheet accounts for the G23's exhaust geometry, but the stage targets are identical across all three body styles. After the first flash, Samuel reviews your data logs before sign-off — the calibration is never sent and closed.

BMW 430i tuning, stages, hardware and what to expect from the G22 B48
The G22 430i runs the higher-output B48, same engine hardware as the 420i, with BMW's standard 255 bhp / 420 Nm software calibration and the full injector spec. BMW 430i tuning with Samuel targets the stock turbo's real capability, which sits comfortably above the factory figure. BMW 430i G22 Coupe tuning, G23 Convertible tuning and G26 Gran Coupe tuning all use the same map; only the build sheet differs slightly for the cabrio exhaust geometry.

No hardware required. The MG1CS003 / MEVD17 DME is flashed via the OBD port, boost pressure, ignition timing, fuel delivery and torque limiters all revised. BMW 430i Stage 1 unlocks 310 bhp / 520 Nm from the OEM hardware (up from 255 / 420 stock). The BMW 430i chip tuning starting point for nearly every owner who modifies the platform.
Every 430i tune Samuel produces is calibrated individually for the specific car, fuel grade and installed hardware, not a base map loaded and left. BMW 430i tuning done correctly accounts for the G22 chassis behaviour, the 8HP gearbox calibration and UK fuel quality; the map is reviewed against your data logs after the first flash and revised before sign-off.

430i tuning — frequently asked questions
430i Stage 1 lifts the B48 from 255 bhp · 420 Nm to 310 bhp · 520 Nm with no hardware required. The map is flashed through the OBD port on BM3, MHD or MG Flasher — broader torque and sharper throttle response from the factory hardware, and it's where most 430i owners start.
Stage 2 on the 430i targets 340 bhp · 550 Nm and needs a downpipe and intake. The standard turbo, fuel system and intercooler all hold within the Stage 2 figures on the B48; no further hardware is required at that point.
Remotely — once Samuel has your build details, the calibrated map is delivered to your BM3, MHD or MG Flasher account within 24 hours of payment confirmation. You flash it yourself over OBD in around 15 minutes. No automated delivery; every file is personally calibrated.
Yes. The original B48 stock file is supplied before you flash, so the car returns to factory calibration at any time.
The ZF 8HP fitted to every G22 / G23 / G26 responds well to xHP calibration once torque increases — at Stage 2 it's strongly recommended, where the jump to 550 Nm puts meaningful extra load through the gearbox. At Stage 1 it's optional but makes a noticeable difference to shift feel and torque limits. Available as an add-on on this page.
