About this tune
The G22 / G23 / G26 M440i (2020-present) is the M-Performance 4 Series with the B58 Gen 2, same engine, gearbox and ECU as the M340i in a coupe, convertible or Gran Coupe body. Stock is 374 bhp / 500 Nm with xDrive standard. Available as the G22 coupe, G23 convertible and G26 Gran Coupe; all three share the identical drivetrain. The G22 M440i is widely regarded as the GT-flavoured pick of the B58 Gen 2 family.
BMW M440i tuning
The B58 Gen 2 in the G22 / G23 / G26 M440i is the same 3.0-litre single-turbo straight-six fitted to the M340i, M240i G42 and Z4 M40i — same MG1CS003 DME, same hardware ceiling. Samuel calibrates all three body variants to the same standard: 440 bhp / 680 Nm at Stage 1 from OEM hardware, 480 bhp / 700 Nm at Stage 2 with downpipe (OPF delete if applicable) and intake. The G22 coupe, G23 convertible and G26 Gran Coupe share the same drivetrain and the same calibration plan; every file is still built for the specific car — fuel grade, hardware, gearbox — not the model family.
The G22 / G23 / G26 M440i (2020–present) is the M-Performance 4 Series with the B58 Gen 2 — available as the G22 coupe, G23 convertible and G26 Gran Coupe, all three sharing the same engine, gearbox and MG1CS003 ECU. xDrive is standard across most markets; RWD is available in some. The M440i carries more weight than the M240i G42, which means the torque from Stage 2 is absorbed slightly differently — Samuel accounts for that in the calibration. xHP gearbox calibration is available as an add-on for all three body variants.

What the M440i map revision covers: B58 Gen 2 stages explained
The G22 coupe, G23 convertible and G26 Gran Coupe share the B58 Gen 2 hardware but differ in weight and body stiffness — the Gran Coupe is the heaviest, the coupe the lightest, the convertible in between. Samuel's Stage 1 calibration produces the same 440 bhp / 680 Nm from OEM hardware across all three; the file is then reviewed against the specific car's logs before sign-off. Stage 2 recalibrates around downpipe (OPF delete if applicable) and intake for 480 bhp / 700 Nm. The TU fuel pump is fitted from factory on Gen 2 cars, so the Stage 2 headroom is available without the additional fuel-pump upgrade required on older Gen 1 M440i equivalents.

No hardware required. The MG1CS003 DME is flashed via the OBD port. BMW M440i Stage 1 unlocks 440 bhp and 680 Nm from the OEM hardware (up from 374 / 500 stock), with markedly broader torque through the mid-range and a sharper throttle. The BMW M440i chip tuning starting point and the most popular single modification on the G22 / G23 / G26 platform.

Stage 1 on the M440i (G22/G23/G26) targets 440 bhp / 680 Nm from the 374 bhp / 500 Nm factory baseline — 66 bhp / 180 Nm gained from the OEM B58 Gen 2 hardware. The MG1CS003 DME is flashed via the OBD port on BM3, MHD or MG Flasher in around 15 minutes.
