The F32 / F33 / F36 428i (2013–2020) is the four-cylinder 4 Series — N20 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-four in Coupe, Convertible and Gran Coupe form, all running the ZF 8-speed automatic. Stock from BMW is 245 bhp / 350 Nm; the N20 hardware ceiling sits well above that and is shared across the wider N20 family. Samuel tunes all three body variants to the same standard — F32, F33 and F36 run the same core calibration, tailored individually per car.

What the 428i map revision covers: N20 stages explained
The MEVD17.2 DME in the 428i controls boost pressure, torque limits, and throttle response — and the factory calibration runs all three conservatively on the N20. Samuel's Stage 1 map revises each of those targets to 280 bhp · 400 Nm from the OEM hardware, flashed via the OBD port. Stage 2 recalibrates around the expanded airflow from downpipe, intake and intercooler, targeting 320 bhp · 450 Nm; Stage 3 is built individually around whatever hybrid or big-turbo hardware is on the car, with every map log-reviewed after the first flash before sign-off.

No hardware required. The MEVD17 DME is flashed via the OBD port. BMW 428i Stage 1 unlocks 280 bhp and 400 Nm from the OEM hardware (up from 245 / 350 stock). The BMW 428i chip tuning starting point.

The calibrated 428i map is delivered to your BM3, MHD or MG Flasher account within 24 hours of payment confirmation. You flash it over OBD yourself in around 15 minutes — Samuel personally calibrates every file, no automated delivery.
Yes — the original N20 stock file is supplied before you flash, so the car can return to factory calibration at any time.
A factory warranty can be voided if BMW attributes a specific failure to the tune — that's a personal call. Samuel's 428i maps are calibrated to stay within the mechanical limits of the N20 hardware, and the tune is fully reversible to stock before any dealer visit. Many owners run a tuned 428i without issue.
BM3 is the most widely used for the N20 family and the best pick if you want realtime monitoring through the app. MHD has a strong data-logging toolset and covers Stage 1 through Stage 2 on the 428i cleanly. MG Flasher is a clean alternative for owners already in that ecosystem. The calibration Samuel delivers is the same on all three — you're choosing your flashing tool, not the map quality.
Yes — once you've driven the car on the new map, you send your data logs back through your platform (BM3, MHD or MG Flasher), and Samuel reviews them before sign-off. If something needs adjusting, the file is revised. That review step is what separates this from a generic off-the-shelf map.
