What it is
MG Flasher is a mobile ECU flashing and tuning app for supported BMW, Mini and Toyota Supra vehicles. The platform covers Gen 1 and Gen 2 B46, B48 and B58 engines, plus S58 and S63 applications.
Available for Android and iOS. Designed around OBD flashing, logging and a strong set of mobile-tuning workflows, including some of the best custom-code options on any of the BMW platforms.
The platform
MG Flasher is the app and flashing platform, it connects to the ECU and handles writing, logging and monitoring.
The tune
The tune is the calibration file loaded into the car, what controls boost, fuelling, timing and torque.
MG Flasher makes the workflow possible. The performance, safety and drivability of the car comes from the quality of the calibration loaded through it.

The most common connection method for modern supported vehicles. Suitable for BMW F-series, BMW G-series, Mini Cooper with MG1 ECU, and Toyota Supra A90/A91, wireless flashing, datalogging, diagnostics and monitoring.
Some customers prefer a wired ENET setup, depending on vehicle, phone, tablet and adapter. Reliable for flashing, most owners use it as a backup to the wireless adapter for daily use.
Required before flashing OTS maps or custom tuning software. Depending on vehicle and requirements, the licence covers flashing, OTS map access, logging access, custom code features and custom tuning support.

Flash supported MG1 ECUs through OBD once the vehicle is compatible and unlocked where required. Tuning software is installed, updated and revised without removing the ECU.
Records boost, throttle closure, timing, knock, lambda, fuel pressure, torque limits, ethanol content and more. Every custom MG Flasher revision is reviewed against real ECU data.

A generic file is rarely the right answer for a larger turbo, airflow, boost control and torque behaviour change completely. Custom MG Flasher calibration is built around your actual turbo, fuel system, boost response and datalogs.
Remote tuning
Step 01
You'll need the correct MG Flasher hardware to connect to the car, typically the MG Flasher ENET WiFi adapter. Available directly from this site.
Step 02
Install MG Flasher, register your vehicle and activate the licence covering your engine family.
Step 03
Newer BMW G-series and modern Bosch MG1/MD1 ECUs need to be unlocked first. If yours is locked, that step happens before any flashing.
Step 04
Samuel issues your first calibration file. You flash it through MG Flasher from your phone.
Step 05
You drive the car under the requested conditions and record the datalogs Samuel asks for.
Step 06
Samuel reviews the logs, refines the calibration and sends a revised file. You re-flash and run another log set.
Step 07
Once the data shows the car behaving exactly as it should, the calibration is finalised and you keep driving.

Newer BMW G-series cars, S58 models, S63 models and modern Bosch MG1/MD1 ECUs typically need to be unlocked before MG Flasher can flash them. If yours is locked, MG Flasher won't write any tuning software until the unlock is completed (in-house or via FEMTO/Autotuner depending on the ECU).
